Panchakarma

Ayurveda is growing in acceptance around the globe. Panchakarma is a major factor in this popularity. But regrettably, it is frequently mistaken for massage or other forms of relaxation.

Ayurveda places greater focus on detoxifying the body than it does on simple relaxing methods. Through diet and other activities, the body has a tendency to accumulate toxins on a regular and cyclical basis. Despite our best efforts, the impact of the seasons, poor eating habits, mental stress, and other activities causes the body's toxicity to rise. We are therefore encouraged to seasonally detoxify the body. Ayurveda provides a lovely example: even if both the water and the crystals are pure, if you maintain the crystal in the pure water, the crystal will not corrode. Similarly, the human body also accumulates toxins in a cyclic way over a period of time. So, even for healthy person periodical purifications are necessary to keep the body healthy. In diseased conditions also eliminative therapies are the ones which benefit the maximum.
